with 21.7% Market Share All India (Source: NielsenIQ MAT Feb’24 ROCP), launched its products
under the brand name Be-Rite, exclusively for the Tamil Nadu market, in Chennai today. High-quality
Be-Rite brand products from GEF India will be available in all retail shops and supermarkets in urban
Tamil Nadu, from now on.
Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd is into trading, processing, manufacturing and marketing of edible
oils and specialty fats for different types of food industry.
Sharing more details about the launch, Mr. P. Chandra Shekhara Reddy, Sr Vice President –Sales &
Marketing , Gemini Edibles and Fats India Ltd said, “We are elated to introduce our products to the
Tamil Nadu consumers. Though the industry has been growing at a rate of 2.5% to 3%, we have
been growing at a CAGR of 11.6% over the last 5 years. This entry into TN market will act as

Tamil Nadu, with 83% house hold penetration. Tamil Nadu is one of the major sunflower oil

The location of the manufacturing facilities of Gemini Edibles and Fats Ltd in Andhra Pradesh, will
help in catering to the needs of the Tamil Nadu market. The oil major plans to focus on the urban
markets for the next 5 months and then will roll out the products to the rest of Tamil Nadu. Other
variants like Groundnut Oil, Gingelly Oil and Rice Bran will be launched, after setting up the retail
distribution network.
