Culinary Master Class by Sarah Todd focussed on Pasta and Indian dishes.

Chennai, June 15th, 2024Celebrity Chef Sarah Todd unveiled the Phoenix Shopping Festival 2024 today amid much fanfare. She conducted an exclusive two-hour MasterClass in Lower Ground Floor Palladium, Chennai focussing on pasta and Indian dishes, which saw the participation of 200+ enthusiastic women. 

The Australian celebrity chef, model, restaurateur, and cookbook author cooked three signature dishes – Prawn Farce with spice, confit prawns with chat masala salsa and spiced prawn blanc during the Master Class and also interacted with the guests during the ‘Meet and Greet’ event.  Her charismaand extraordinary culinary skill kept the participants engaged through the session.

Chennai, June 10, 2024: Madras Maplai, a young and unique hospitality brand from Chennai, has opened its first multi-cuisine, fine-dining restaurant near Anna Flyover. Actor and comedian Mr. Balan Aakash, famously called KPY Bala, inaugurated the restaurant today. In a heartwarming gesture, the restaurant welcomed around 50 orphaned children and are treated with ‘Maplai Virundhu’, a sumptuous south Indian feast.

Occupying 4,000 square feet space at Gemini Parsn Manere, Anna Salai, Nungambakkam, the restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring cuisines of Andhra, Chettinad, North India, and Chinese. Its signature items are Maplai Virundhu, Madras Maplai Mutton Chukka, Manga Era Varuval, Arati Aaku Kodi, and Andhra Bhojanam.

The restaurant is open from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm. It can cater to about 150 guests at a time. Its party hall can host about 50 guests – and the private dining cabin can accommodate 12-15 guests. There is a parking facility for about 20 cars. Reservations or home delivery orders can be made at 73050 21627.

In celebration of its inauguration, Madras Maplai is offering a complimentary dinner for couples getting married between June 10 and June 30, 2024. The couples can also bring two more guests for the dinner. The offer is on a first come first serve basis – and registration is a must. The restaurant is also offering a 15% discount on the bill from June 10-17, the inaugural week.

We also do not use any taste elements – be it salt or chilly, more than what is essential to bring the authentic taste. All our supervisors are trained and have Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).”
