Super Star Academy bets big on students’ placements, holds Convocation Function

OCTOBER, CHENNAI: Super Star Academy, a premier educational institution at
Agaram, Chennai, held the Convocation function recently with a big gathering of academicians
and students gracing the event. Dr P Umamageswari, Principal & Founder, gave an overall
view of the academic activities of the Super Star Academy and outlined the future course of
action going forward.
R Nagalingam, Correspondent, Super Star Academy, also spoke on the academic and other
related activities of the institution. M V M  Velmurugan, Chief Executive Officer, Velammal
Educational Trust, who was the chief guest, also chaired the function.
R L Arun Prasad, IRS, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax Department, Government of India,
who was also another chief guest, presented the keynote address.
R Chandrasekaran, MD, RC Golden Granites Private Ltd, Treasurer-IMPA, Founder &
President-IBN, was the guest of honour. The academy, run by Dhivya Educational and
Charitable Trust, is known for imparting quality training in Montessori methods of education
through offline and online.

music and storytelling to drive home the concepts.

Chennai, October 16, 2023: The Tribal Welfare Department of Tamil Nadu, in partnership with
Karadi Path Education Company launched the ‘Joyful English’ project across 131 Government Tribal
Residential (GTR) schools in the state.
Ms. G Laxmi Priya, IAS, Secretary of the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, unveiled the
project at GTR Higher Secondary School, Pattaraikadu, Thirvannamalai in the presence of Mr. S.
Annadurai CLS, Director of Tribal Welfare.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ms. G Laxmi Priya IAS said, “ I hope the paths of action, music, reading
and storytelling provide direction to teachers to help develop functional English among students
studying in Tribal schools. I congratulate Karadi Path for developing an innovative teacher training
app.”
Mr. S. Annadurai CLS, Director of Tribal Welfare asked teachers to make the most of this wonderful
learning opportunity. “Tribal schools across Tamil Nadu have got a unique opportunity to develop
the English skills of their students, with the Tiruvanamalai schools receiving an almost entire
coverage” he said.
The teaching approach through the ‘Joyful English’ project is through mime, movement, music,
storytelling and more, thus making the learning process enjoyable and memorable.

The Joyful English project focusses on strengthening educational institutions and also aims to make a
difference in the lives of 6500 students and 250 teachers across the backward blocks of Erode,
Namakkal, Salem, Trichy, Perambalur, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakuruchi, Tirupatthur and Dharmapuri
districts. To strengthen the project, Joyful English app is also being created exclusively for the
teachers to learn and teach the students through mime, music and storytelling. Karadi Path’s
