Cummins India Limitedin collaboration with Repos Energy launches DATUM, aninnovative Fuel Management System for Diesel applications

Chennai,13.12.2023: Cummins India Limited (“Cummins”), one of the leading power solutions technology providers in the country,announced the launch of DATUM (Data Automated Teller Ultimate Machine), an intelligent Fuel Management System, in collaboration with Repos Energy at CII EXCON 2023, at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). As a part of the collaboration, Cummins will market and distribute the DATUM range of products through its vast distribution network in India.

Currently, customers face multiple challenges while managing their fuel operations including cumbersome procurement processes, fuel pilferage and adulteration, high dead-mileage operations, and unbalanced diesel inventory. Managing fuel requirements for multiple sites through conventional and manual processes locks working capital, contributing to a higher Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and lower profitability. DATUM addresses these customer challenges by offering a solution that enhances the visibility into the downstream diesel value chain, driving cost and operational efficiency for its users.

DATUM leverages sensors and digital technologies to provide real-time updates on fuel inventory and consumption across multiple installations. The safe and certified smart fuel storage solution enables remote monitoring of fuel levels, sends alerts when fuel level is low,and facilitates 24×7 doorstep delivery of diesel thereby enhancing theefficiency of operations while reducing its carbon footprint. The entire process from fuel ordering to payment and invoicing is digital. The customer benefits from reduced fuel procurement costs, improved management of diesel inventory, higher asset utilization, and assurance of quality and quantity of fuel consumed. This has shown a direct reduction of up to 10% in fuel costs, coupled with a significant improvement in operational uptime.

IIFL Samasta to Raise up to Rs. 1,000 Crores via Bonds, Offers Up to 10.50% Return Per Annum

Chennai, 1st December, 2023: IIFL Samasta Finance, which is one of India’s largest non-banking microfinance companies (NBFC-MFI), will raise up to Rs 1,000 crores through its maiden public issue of secured bonds, for the purpose of business growth and capital augmentation. The bonds offer up to 10.50% and high degree of safety. The issue opens on Monday, December 4, 2023 and closes on Friday, December 15, 2023. IIFL Samasta is a part of IIFL Finance, which is one of India’s largest retail-focused NBFCs with loan assets under management of Rs 73,066 crore.
IIFL Samasta Finance will issue bonds, aggregating to Rs 200 crore, with a green-shoe option to retain over-subscription of up to Rs 800 crore (aggregating to a total of Rs 1,000 crore). The IIFL Samasta bonds offer highest coupon rate of 10.50% per annum for tenor of 60 months. The NCD is available in tenors of 24 months, 36 months and 60 months. The frequency of interest payment is available on monthly and annual basis for each of the series.
The credit rating is CRISIL AA-/Positive by CRISIL Ratings Limited and Acuite AA| Stable by Acuite Ratings and Research Limited, which indicates that the instruments are considered to have a high degree of safety for timely servicing of financial obligations and carry very low credit risk. IIFL Samasta received a rating outlook upgrade to ‘positive’ from ‘stable’ by Crisil earlier this month.
Mr Anantha Kumar T, Chief Financial Officer, IIFL Samasta Finance said, “IIFL Samasta Finance has a strong physical presence of across India through about 1,500 branches. It caters to the credit needs of underserved and unserved population, primarily women entrepreneurs from underprivileged background through a well-diversified portfolio. The funds raised will be used to meet credit demand from more such customers and bolster business growth.”
IIFL Samasta Finance offers innovative and affordable financial products to women who are enrolled as members and organized as Joint Liability Group from unbanked sections in society including encompassing cultivators, agricultural laborers, vegetable and flower vendors, cloth traders, tailors, craftsmen, as well as household and industrial workers across rural, semi urban and urban areas in India.
IIFL Samasta Finance had loan assets under management of Rs 12,196 crore at the end of September 2023 and has reported a profit of Rs 233 crore in the first six months of FY24. IIFL Samasta Finance has a widespread network of 1,485 branches spanning the length and breadth of the country and has a strong workforce of 14,286 employees. IIFL Samasta
Finance has consistently maintained low level of NPAs over the years of operations and continues to focus on good quality of assets. It has a Gross NPA of 2.11% and Net NPA of 0.57 % as a percentage of the Loan Book as on September 30, 2023. 
The lead managers to the issue are JM Financial Limited, IIFL Securities Limited, Nuvama Wealth Management Limited and Trust Investment Advisors Private Limited. The NCDs will be listed on the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), to provide liquidity to investors. The IIFL Bonds would be issued at face value of Rs 1,000 and the minimum application size is Rs 10,000 across all categories. The public issue opens on Monday, December 04, 2023 and closes on Friday, December 15, 2023, with an option of early closure. The allotment will be made on first come first served basis.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Initiates Health Check drive for over 10,000 School Children in Ramanagara

Building on the success of prior healthcare initiatives such
as, A Behavioural Change Demonstration (ABCD) and Community Health Centre (CHC),
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced the continued success of the Toyota Shaale
Arogya Program (TSAP) in Ramanagara district, with special focus on child health and
community well-being. Initially launched in 2019, TSAP has evolved as an important initiative
in TKM’s comprehensive approach to healthcare and hygiene awareness among
government school students, considering children are country’s future.
Under TSAP, the students undergo comprehensive medical checkups with focus on early
detection and resolution of health issues. The initiative addresses concerns such as
anemia, malnutrition, visual and hearing impairments among school students, and
depending on the diagnosis, they are provided with appropriate corrective measures like
spectacles, hearing aids, healthcare supplements, or referred to a tertiary healthcare center.
In addition, the program has health and hygiene awareness sessions, aimed at equipping
students with the knowledge necessary for maintaining good health. So far, this program has
reached over 10,000 children in more the 180 schools within Ramanagara district.
Furthermore, TSAP program is also extended to the community through the Health camps.
These camps provide an array of medical checks like random blood sugar tests, vision and
dental examinations, ECGs, along with the distribution of essential medicines. This program
provides health care facilities to the villages making it accessible for all community members.
In this current year, TKM has conducted health camps in 18 villages and positively impacting
more than 1100 individuals.

significantly enhanced the health outcomes within the community. In the fiscal year 2022-23
alone, TKM made a positive impact of over 65,000 individuals, contributing to a cumulative
outreach of more than 11,16,365 individuals.

Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, launched ‘Startup Tamizha’, Tamil Nadu’s first
Business Pitch Reality TV show, which aims to identify 50 promising startups from across the state and to
facilitate funding for their ventures from reputed entrepreneurs, and angel investors.
Startup Tamizha has already generated a funding commitment to the tune of Rs. 200 crore from reputed
entrepreneurs and angel investors. Refex Group has committed to invest Rs. 100 crore, while Dr.
Velumani of Thyrocare and Pontaq are investing Rs. 50 crore and Rs. 25 crore respectively. Besides,
Native Lead Angels is bringing in Rs. 10 crore – and the rest comes from other investors.
A novel initiative of StartupTN, the Government of Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency for Startup and
innovation, the show will have three seasons. The first season is set to go into production by February
2024, and will be telecast on a popular Tamil TV channel. The show will be produced and managed by
Brand Avatar, Blue Koi, and Refex Capital.
The launch event witnessed the special addresses by Tmt. Archana Patnaik, I.A.S., Secretary to
Government, MSME Department, Mr. V. Arun Roy, I.A.S., Secretary to Government, Industries

Madurai/Chennai, November 22, 2023: Bank of Baroda (Bank), one of India’s leading public sector banks, announced the launch of the 6th edition of Baroda Kisan Pakhwada in Tamil Nadu, the Bank’s annual, fortnight long engagement programme focused on the Indian agrarian economy. The farmer engagement programme takes place from November 16, 2023, and concludes on November 30, 2023, with the Baroda Kisan Diwas celebrations.

The Bank’s Chennai Zone organised a Farmers’ Programme at Nallampatti Village, Dindigul, Madurai as a part of the Baroda Kisan Pakhwada. The event was inaugurated by Shri Saravanakumar A, Zonal Head – Chennai Zone, Bank of Baroda and Shri Jaikishan M, Regional Manager – Madurai Region, Bank of Baroda.

The event was attended by a number of dignitaries like the President of the Nallampatti Milk Society, President of the Sirumalai Farmers Society & the President of the Panchayat of Nallampatti village. During the event, Self Help Groups (SHG) were felicitated, followed by the handing over of in-principle sanction letters to various beneficiaries. The event concluded with the waving of the flag to commence the Baroda Kisan Raths which will cover various clusters of villages in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Saravanakumar A, Zonal Head – Chennai Zone, Bank of Baroda, said, “Bank of Baroda has a loyal and strong base of agri customers and is one of the leading banks servicing the agriculture sector. We are pleased to organise this Farmers’ Programme in Madurai. In Chennai zone, over 160 branches will participate in this year’s Baroda Kisan Pakhwada, which will help us to boost engagement with the farming community and fulfil the banking & financing requirements of our esteemed agri customers.”

Bank of Baroda has also organised five mobile vans in Tamil Nadu which are being activated to cover villages, town panchayats and markets in Chennai Rural, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Puducherry. One officer will accompany each van, which will dispense information on various agriculture schemes and loan products, accept loan applications and spread awareness about the Baroda Kisan Pakhwada.

Bank of Baroda has 315 branches in Tamil Nadu, of which 161 are semi-urban/ rural branches. Advances to the agri sector in Tamil Nadu zone have grown year-on-year by 21.4% as on 30th September 2023.

During the Baroda Kisan Pakhwada, Bank of Baroda will reach out to farmers and create awareness about various initiatives such as the Kisan Credit Card drive in the name of “Ghar-Ghar KCC Abhiyaan” as well as create awareness on agri products, schemes/offers and delivery channels offered by Bank of Baroda for the benefit of the farming community. The event will also help to promote various Atmanirbhar Bharat schemes introduced by the Government of India such as the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF), Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PM-FME), etc.
