Chennai, 1st September 2024 — Athulya Senior Care, a leading name in assisted living and elderly care in India, organized the “Caring for a Senior” Walk-a-thon today at Elliots Beach, Chennai. இவர் எழுதிய “ஐயோசாமி நீ எனக்கு வேணாம்” பாடல் இலங்கையில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பாடல்களில் 6 கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான பார்வைகளைப்பெற்று “மக்கள் விருது” பெற்ற முதல் தமிழ் பாடலாகும்.
மறைந்த தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் ஜெயலலிதா அவர்கள் மறைவிற்கு இவர் எழுதிய “வானே இடிந்ததம்மா” இரங்கல் பாடல் அவர் அரசியல் எதிரிகளையும் கண்ணீரில் நனையவைத்தது.

பாடும் நிலா எஸ்.பி.பி மறைவுக்கு இலங்கை தமிழ் கலைஞர்கள் சமர்ப்பித்த “எழுந்துவா இசையே” பாடலையும் இவரே எழுதினார்.
இந்தியாவில் விவசாயிகள் தற்கொலை செய்தபோது வர்சன் இசையில் இவர் எழுதி்ய “போங்கடா நாங்க பொங்கலடா” பாடல் உழவர்களின் வலியை உணர்வுபூர்வமாக வெளிப்படுத்தியது.
இலங்கையில் அரசியல் புரட்சி வெடித்தபோது இயக்குனர் ,நடிகர் டி.ராஜேந்தர் அவர்கள் பாடி வெளியிட்ட “நாங்க வாழணுமா சாகணுமா சொல்லுங்க” பாடல் பல மில்லியன் பார்வைகளைப்பெற்று அந்த போராட்டக்களத்தில் ஒரு போர் முரசாக ஒலித்தது அந்த பாடலை எழுதி டி.ஆரிடமே வாழ்த்துப்பெற்றவர் பொத்துவில் அஸ்மின்.
இருபத்தேழு ஆண்டுகளாக இலக்கியத்துறையில் ஈடுபட்டு வரும் அஸ்மின் விடைதேடும் வினாக்கள்(2001), விடியலின் ராகங்கள்(2002), பாம்புகள் குளிக்கும் நதி (2013) ஆகிய கவிதை நூல்களை தமிழுக்குத் தந்துள்ளார்.
தமிழ்நாடு பாரதியார் பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவி செல்வி.தி.கெளசல்யா தனது முதுகலை பட்டத்துக்காக “பொத்துவில் அஸ்மின் கவிதைகளில் இயற்கை வர்ணனைகளும் சமுதாய கூறுகளும்” என்ற தலைப்பில் இவர் கவிதைகளை ஆய்வு செய்து பட்டம் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
2003ஆம் ஆண்டு இலங்கை பேராதெனியா பல்கலைக்கழகம் நடத்திய அகில இலங்கை மட்ட கவிதைப்போட்டியில் “தங்கம்பதக்கம்” பெற்ற அஸ்மின் இரண்டு முறை இலங்கை ஜனாதிபதி கரங்களால் விருது பெற்றவர்.
இவரது கலை,இலக்கிய, ஊடகப்பணியை பாராட்டி இலங்கை அரசு 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு “கலைச்சுடர்” என்ற பட்டம் வழங்கி கெளரவித்தது. அதே ஆண்டு கம்போடியாவில் நடைபெற்ற உலக கவிஞர் மாநாட்டில் கம்போடியா கலை,கலாச்சார அமைச்சினால் சர்வதேச கவியரசு கண்ணதாசன் விருது வழங்கி அஸ்மின் கெளரவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
,”கவிஞர்களின் கவிஞர்” என வர்ணிக்கப்படும் கவிக்கோ அப்துல் ரஹ்மான் தலைமையில் மலேசியா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் 2011ஆம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச கவியரங்கில் கவிதைபாடி கவிக்கோவால் பாராட்டுப்பெற்றவர் அஸ்மின்.
இவரது “தட்டாதே திறந்து கிடக்கிறது” கவிதையினை இயக்குனர்கள் லிங்குசாமி,ஏ.வெங்கடேஸ்,ராசய்யா கண்ணன் ஆகியோரும் பலமுறை விதந்து பாராட்டி உள்ளனர்.
ராடர்ன் தயாரிப்பில் கலர்ஸ் தொலைக்காட்சியில் ஒளிபரப்பாகிய “ஜமீலா” , DD பொதிகை தொலைக்காட்சியில் ஒளிபரப்பாகிவரும் “தாயம்மா குடும்பத்தார்” ஆகிய நெடுந்தொடர்களின் பாடல்களையும் அழகுத் தமிழில் அஸ்மின் எழுதியுள்ளார்.
ஜிப்ரான் இசையில் “அமரகாவியம்” படத்தில் அஸ்மின் எழுதிய “தாகம் தீர கானல் நீரை காதலின்று காட்டுதே” பாடல், சிறந்த பாடலாசிரியருக்கான ‘எடிசன்’ விருதினை இவருக்கு பெற்றுக்கொடுத்தது.
தாஜ்நூர் இசையில் “சண்டாளனே”, ஸ்ரீகாந்த் தேவா இசையில் “முத்து முத்து கருவாயா” ,நீ எத்தன பேரகொன்னிருக்க முட்டக்கண்ணால ஆகிய பாடல்கள் பல மில்லியன் ஹிட்களைப் பெற்ற இவரது பாடல்களாகும்.
