Global Health City (GGHC), a leading quaternary multi-specialty Healthcare centre in Chennai, launched a Comprehensive Heart and Brain Centre today.
The Advanced Heart and Brain Centre was inaugurated by Chef Dr K Damodharan, an Indian celebrity chef, in the presence of Dr. Alok Khullar, CEO, Gleneagles Global Health City along with Dr Dinesh Nayak, Director of Neurology and Advanced Centre for Epilepsy, Dr. Gobu P Senior Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist and Mr. Bhaskar Reddy, Head – Corporate Relations, Gleneagles Global Health City.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Alok Khullar, CEO, Gleneagles Global Health City, Chennai said, “Our primary goal has always been to provide a high-quality healthcare and comprehensive service under one roof. The Centre is equipped with expertise to perform mechanical thrombectomy, a minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove a blood clot from an artery. Mechanical thrombectomy reduces mortality in three months by 17% in acute ischemic stroke patients with large vessel occlusion. The Centre also has neuro-intensive care and 24/7 on-site critical care coverage.
